Children's medication coated with brain damaging Aluminum.

Aluminum Lake food coloring is used to coat liquid medicines used by children. It also contains a very dangerous amount of aluminum and other very dangerous and harmful "petrochemicals". These petrochems are carcinogens that contain PETROLEUM, ANTIFREEZE and AMMONIA which are know caused for a loooong list of adverse reactions.

Aluminum poisoning may lead to short and long term central nervous system damage like autism, epilepsy, dementia and mental retardation.

A lot of research shows that as little as 4ppm (parts per million) can cause the blood in your body to coagulate! This is what causes Alzheimer's Disease and is documented to impair learning. It also known to be associated with bone disorders including stress fractures.

Known as "tartrazine" FD&C Yellow Aluminum Lake is a chemical made from coal tar. Nasty. It is known to be a "reproductive" toxin. All artificial coloring contain Aluminum Lake.

Think of it as when you child picks the blue pill because its his favorite color, he is actually literally picking his poison.

Accoring to the CSPI, the Center for Science in the Public Interest, chemically enhanced food colorings contain ammonia that produce compounds that are proven to cause various types of cancer in animal studies.

Most widely used food colors and their damaging actions:

•Blue #1: Research shows it causes kidney tumors in mice.

•Blue #2: Research shows even higher incidence of tumors, specifically gliomas in male rates (a type of tumor that starts in the brain or spine).

•Red #2: Toxic to rodents, even at modest levels, and causes tumors of the bladder.

•Red #3: FDA recognized it in 1990 as a cause of thyroid cancer in animals. It was banned in cosmetics, but still allowed in food and medicine.

•Red #40: Most popular dye of all. Debilitates the immune-system in mice.   Allergic reactions common.

•Green #3: Causes bladder and testes tumors.

•Yellow #5: Affects behavior and induces severe hypersensitivity reactions.

•Yellow #6: Causes adrenal tumors in animals.

The above is taken directly from the FDA's Regulatory Process and Historical Perspectives "Color additives are important components of many products, making them attractive, appealing, appetizing, and informative. Added color serves as a kind of code that allows us to identify products on sight, like candy flavors and medicine dosages." Wtf.

There has been a 55% increase in US toxic food dyes since 2000. There are over 15 MILLION pounds of dyes put in foods drinks medicine etc each year and the FDA does not do a single thing to protect consumers.

Multiple studies show that on average children have consumed as much as 3 pounds of dye by the age of 12.

Here is a sample list of products containing these dyes:

baked goods
cereal
pet food
personal care products
cosmetics
NyQuil
Tylenol
Robitussin
Jello
Cheetos
Skittles
Fruity Pebbles
Mountain Dew
Doritos :(
gum
powdered drink mixes

American companies have to use natural colorings to meet European standards if they are to sell their products there. The rational of the FDA is that since most of the foods are junk to begin with, we should already know the effects so it wouldn't matter if toxins were added or not.

So why doesn't the US do that same thing as the Europeans? Who knows but I bet its to protect the profits of these companies. More sick people equals more medicine bought which equals more money for the companies which means more money to pay off the people in government.

But what do I know.
